Terms & Conditions

These terms form the agreement between you and SummerPeptides when you place an order with us. By ticking "I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions" at checkout, you confirm you are 18 years or older and that you accept everything set out below. Please read them — they include important conditions of supply and limits on our liability.

1. Who we are

SummerPeptides is a business registered in South Africa and is the distributor of the products sold on this website. In these terms, "we", "us" and "SummerPeptides" mean SummerPeptides, and "you" means the person placing the order. Contact: hello@summerpeptides.co.za.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to order from us, and you must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement. We may decline or cancel any order where we reasonably believe this is not the case.

3. Conditions of supply

The peptide products sold on this website are supplied for research, laboratory and professional use only. They are not registered medicines in South Africa, they are not supplied or intended for human or veterinary consumption, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.

By placing an order you confirm that you are acquiring the products on that basis, that you are responsible for their lawful handling, storage, use and disposal, and that you will not resupply them for any purpose inconsistent with these terms.

Our topical skincare range (the GHK-Cu serum, cream, cleanser and Trio) is supplied as cosmetics for external use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

4. No medical advice

Nothing on this website — including product descriptions, published-literature summaries, any reference material shipped with an order, or correspondence from us — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. We are not your healthcare provider. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any health decision.

5. Products, information & pricing

All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Product images are illustrative and final packaging may vary. We take care to describe products accurately, but specifications, certificates of analysis and third-party literature are provided as-is and may be updated without notice.

We may change prices at any time before you complete checkout. If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

6. Orders & acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion — including for stock, pricing errors, suspected fraud, failed payment, or where supply would be unlawful — and will refund any amount already paid.

7. Payment

We accept card payment and manual EFT / PayShap. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your card details. For EFT orders, your order is held for 24 hours from the time it is placed. If payment does not reflect within that window, the order is released and stock returns to the shelf. Please pay the exact amount and use your order number as the reference — payments without a reference may be delayed while we match them.

8. Pair pricing ("Better with a friend")

Pair offers are subject to availability and to the specific terms shown on the Pair page at the time you join. Where a Pair completes, the participating members receive a single-use discount code for a future order. Credits are personal to the recipient, are not transferable, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded, and expire on the date shown in the email issuing them (currently 90 days from issue). We may pause, change or withdraw Pair pricing at any time; orders already placed are honoured on the terms that applied when they were placed.

9. Delivery

We ship across South Africa via The Courier Guy. Temperature-sensitive items ship in insulated packaging with a cold pack. Orders paid before the daily cut-off are typically dispatched within 24 hours of payment reflecting, with delivery usually 1–4 business days depending on your area.

Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by the courier, load shedding, weather, strikes or other events outside our reasonable control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you supplied. It is your responsibility to supply a correct, attended delivery address; re-delivery due to an incorrect address or a failed delivery attempt may be charged to you.

Please inspect your parcel on arrival and report any damage, shortage or cold-chain concern to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can resolve it with the courier.

10. Returns, cancellations & refunds

See our Refunds & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: you may cancel an unpaid or unshipped order at any time for a full refund. For health and safety reasons, temperature-sensitive and opened items cannot be returned once delivered unless they are defective, damaged in transit or not what you ordered. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 10 business days.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

11. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account details secure, for the accuracy of the information you give us, and for complying with all laws applicable to your purchase, possession, handling and use of the products, including any import, storage or disposal requirements.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and other than for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded: our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for the affected product; and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or any loss arising from use of the products in a manner inconsistent with these terms or with applicable law.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that may not lawfully be excluded.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, penalty or cost (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these terms or from your use, handling, resupply or disposal of the products in a manner inconsistent with these terms or with applicable law.

14. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, imagery, branding and layout — belongs to SummerPeptides or its licensors and may not be reproduced without our written permission.

15. Privacy

We process your personal information in line with POPIA and our Privacy Policy. We keep a record of the confirmation you give at checkout, together with your order, as proof of the terms you accepted.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page when you place your order, and the date above shows when it was last updated.

17. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. Please contact us first at hello@summerpeptides.co.za — we would far rather sort things out directly.

18. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
